Rio Olympics 2016
The Rio Olympics recently ended up with great success, despite all the pre-event fears about the Zika virus and crime. So let’s talk about the highlights of the Olympics!
An UNBELIEVABLE event happened at the Rio Olympic. Jin Jong Oh, a Korean sport shooter, made a miraculous achievement in the 50 meter pistoland became a four-timeOlympic champion.
We are proud of all the Korean athletes in Rio Olympics 2016, but there was one fencing player who showed especially impressive skills during his competitions – SangYoung Park.
Sang-Young Park became well-known for his come-from-behind victory against the Hungarian veteran player, ImreGéza. As a veteran, ImreGézaled Park throughout. Park made the score 9-9 butGéza started to attack violently, finishing round 2with 9-13. In round 3, Park gained a point, butGézascored too, making it 10-14. By then, everyone thought that Park would lose and have to settle for the silver medal, as it was match point. Surprisingly, he didn’t! He stopped using his original offensive skills and started to play defensively. As a result, he quickly scored 4 points a row, making the score 14-14. At last, he snatched victory away fromGéza by using his flash attack, earning a gold medal.
Park didn’t just become famous for this come-from-behind victory but also for his speech in between rounds during his match withImreGéza. He kept saying “I can do it.” to himself repetitively in an effort to inspire himself. Not only was everyone impressed by his victory against a veteran player but also by his speech and positiveattitude.
